Our Services
“What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace, be warmed and filled’ without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” – James 2: 14-17
Accountability Attendance and Participation
Eleos helps a community to help themselves. We have a systemic approach when working with families and the services we offer make it possible to address family issues at different levels. This holistic approach addresses the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of the people we help. We serve and assist from a Christian perspective, and it is important to us to develop and see growth. We support responsibility in our projects to teach individuals to make a contribution in improving their situation.

Childhood Development
We support Booysens Beertjies Play School who takes care of toddlers. This facility helps working mothers during the day, and also supplies one healthy meal per day to all little students.
- We have three after school care facilities for pupils attending the surrounding schools where we provide a healthy meal and assistance with homework:
– Genl. Nic Smit Primary School,
– Booysens Beertjies Play School, and
– Our Community Centre in Wilhelm Street. - Our trained staff can identify learning problems as well as social or economic needs.
It is often here where we can build a relationship with the child and can offer
assistance to families. We also aim to identify pupils having the potential for further studies, and tutoring is also provided. Emotional and economic support is provided to children who need help completing their studies.
This therapy is often life-changing!
We assess all the children in our ECD project to make sure that their physical and mental abilities are age appropriate. If a problem is identified, we work with the child and their parent/s on a weekly basis at our ECD group in Market Street.

Spiritual Development
Agape meets every Wednesday. In this group, we offer skills development and spiritual
growth programmes. We spoil and care for our more mature ladies and also assist in the
transformations and life-changing events they go through. By building strong relationships,
we can assist in their social, emotional, and economic challenges.
giGgles stands for Girls in God – Growing, Loving, Eating, Sharing. This group is an active group of younger ladies who meet on Wednesdays. They do Bible study, improve their parenting skills, and many of them are involved in one of our job creation initiatives – Soap Opera. We assist and support them in their social, emotional, and economic needs.
Our Soup kitchen is a community project where we join hands with other organisations to supply a hot meal 3 times a week for homeless people or families in dire need. These people are also ministered to and are encouraged to join our groups.
Woman Alive was created share the gospel with women who are not proficient in Afrikaans.
We guide and empower these women with good parenting skills so that it will filter to the community.
Man Alive is a Bible study group for men, but the entire family is welcome. We help with social, spiritual, and economic needs. We also provide our group members with clothes and basic toiletries. Spiritual guidance and emotional counselling are available on an individual basis. Group members are assisted individually with CV’s, job applications and clothing for job interviews.

We collect donations (within the Pretoria area), deliver orders and provide much-needed transportation to the clients in our groups.
This project is running for more than a decade and is one of our great success stories. Ladies from the community were taught how to make the peaks / golf caps. These peaks are sold at markets and leading golf shops countrywide. Over the years it has developed into an independent project. A specific colour or brand can be ordered.
